Beth is a strategic thinker who always looks at HR with a business owner’s eye. She develops systems and processes designed to create great places to work and deliver exceptional performance results for the business.
In 1998, after 12 years as the Chief Human Resource Officer for Cascade Engineering and D&W Food Centers, Beth began her work as an independent professional and provider of human resource management services. Today she provides management and project services for human resources to several happy clients.
Beth’s professional credentials include certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and as a Strategic Workforce Planner. Beth has also served as an adjunct professor in the business departments of Davenport University and Calvin College. She has been active in several community organizations that support improving education and developing our workforce. Beth is currently on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Resource Center and the Alumni Association Board for MSU’s School of Human Resources and Labor Relations.
Beth received her Masters Degree from the School of Human Resources and Labor Relations at Michigan State University and her Bachelors degree in Literature, Science and Arts from University of Michigan.
Barb Jourdan
Barb Jourdan is the president of Human Resource Potential, LLC and specializes in human resources and organizational development. She has extensive experience with insurance, healthcare, education, and non-profit organizations. Read Barb’s full bio »
Barb has been active in working with companies since 1997 on a consultative basis in the areas of human resources, organizational development, compliance, professional development, and customer service and satisfaction. Prior to Human Resource Potential, Barb served as senior associate with Innovations in Management. Barb’s work ranges from short-term assignments to long-term relationships with where she functions as an HR executive within an organization. Barb specializes in employment compliance and policy development.
Barb has served in human resource management positions for healthcare, higher education, and insurance in the areas of employment, compensation, employee health, and training. Barb’s current work includes HR administration of policies and procedures, and development and implementation of new systems and processes. Barb has worked extensively with contract management and design for professional services. She provides coaching services to executives and other professionals. She is an experienced facilitator of professional development programs, designing client-specific workshops, retreats and employee events.
She holds a Master of Management degree, with an emphasis in organizational development, and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, cum laude, from Aquinas College.
